Kuwait

Dale arrived safely in Kuwait this morning.  He expects to stay in Kuwait for several days.  During his time in Kuwait, he will sleep on a cot in tent city, watch the Olympics in the MWR tent, and spend all his change and pogs on coffee and junk food.  He will then fly to Fort Benning, Georgia to turn in his gear.  We expect him to arrive home in Virginia early next week.  During his time in Virginia, he will sleep in his own bed, watch the Olympics in his own living room, and drink coffee from one of his many cups.  We will be thrilled to have him home.

That’s great to hear Mugs. Thanks for the early post. Dale — for your Olympic viewing pleasure, try to catch today’s Serbia vs. Croatia water polo match. It’s the greatest display of mustaches the world has ever seen. I also highly recommend badminton, sabre and handball.

Mugs and Dale – I can’t wait to see the post on this website that Dale is finally at home in Virginia. It has been inspiring and humbling to observe and listen in to your lives during this past year. I’m so thankful that you have all made it through the past year.

Any chance you will keep this going so we can all get news of your family during the next year? I’d love to hear and know what happens next in your lives and see how God will use you next.

    In christ,
    Giovanna

Grandpa and Grandma Meloch are with you, Giovanna. It is so exciting to hear how God uses His children. We enjoyed hearing of your trip to Africa and look forward to other news of you, Peter and the girls. My husband has always had a fondness for Lake Mills and said someday he’d like to retire there. 😀

Giovanna, also thanks for the idea of sending magazines to the troops. I told it to my friend whose nephew has just arrived for his tour.

In addition to the other strenuous activities mentioned, I will also periodically blog. Fortunately, I have a wireless connection on my laptop at home. I’ll be able to sit in Mugs’ chair, watch the Olympics, drink coffee, and blog, all at the same time.
