We got a few more inches of snow last night and ended up with about 15 inches total. It made shoveling the drive much easier today than yesterday. Yesterday, we work on three different sled runs, two in our backyard and one on the path. Here’s a clip of Abby going down the sled run on the path.
Here are a few more photos of the snow (plus one of Zeke in his cape):
We got about 12 inches of snow last night. Currently, the National Weather Service has a Blizzard Warning for our area with another 7 to 11 inches of snow accumulation throughout the day.
It was raining this morning when I got up. But the temperature dropped, and the rain has now turned to snow. The forecast calls for 2-4 inches today. Mugs bought me a new snow shovel yesterday and sleds for the kids. We’re ready!
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28 (NIV)
“The neighbor just ran her car into the tree in our front yard. What do I do?” my eldest son, in a harried voice, asked me over the phone. He had been left at home to baby sit his siblings. I responded with questions, “Were the kids in the car with her? Is everyone alright? Was it the Cherry?” Afterwards, I can never fully explain why I say and do certain things during a crisis. My neighbor and her children are a million times more important than my cherry tree. I know this. However, during crisis, correct perspective often eludes me.
