Rose Parade 2015
I have taken hundreds of rose photos over the last two weeks. Some of my roses are very photogenic and I hem and haw over how many photos to put on their post. Members of the Manry clan are called in for consultation in my attempt to cull the photos that I can’t find the gumption to delete.
“But I like that picture and that one and that one and that one,” I think.
Some roses have so endeared themselves to me, I make them queen for a day on the blog. I fear, at the rate I’m going, I’ll be posting rose blogs throughout the entire month of June, boring to death the non-gardeners of the world.
Some roses are very helpful in speeding things up a bit. Either they always look the same, the entire shrub is not much to look at, or I rarely take a decent photo of them no matter how many times I try.
I now present to you the 2015 rose parade of blooms.
And yes, the only decent photo I took of winter sunset has me standing in the background. I didn’t want to put it in shadow, so I reached around to snap the shot, and forgot to get myself out of the way. It is a beautiful rose with petals like crepe paper, but proved incredibly difficult to photograph clearly.
Beautiful, Mugs!
WOW! They’re beautiful. Is that all of your roses? Or maybe the better question is, how many more are there?
Lots more, of course.
