Visiting the Land of Cheese
On our way home from Minnesota last summer, we stayed overnight with a dear friend in Wisconsin. It was a welcome respite after the loss and sorrow of the fire. We were all exhausted and reserved. Zeke, especially, had been quiet and unsettled since the fire.
The visit brought all of us a touch of joy, but none more than Zeke who, at the sight of Wii Just Dance, started jumping up and down in happiness. Watching the flash of his usually bubbly persona brought tears of relief running down my face.
Many kindnesses were shown to Mike’s family and us after the fire, and we are thankful for each and every one.
