Google the Manry Family
You may have noticed that I haven’t made any design changes to the blog lately. I’m actually pretty happy with my current design. The changes I’ve made recently have been transparent to the user. I’ve been focused on improving the blog’s position on Google search results. So I did some work on the keywords and description information in the header of the blog’s source code. Then I created a sitemap and indexed the site with Google. I’ve focused my efforts on queries for manry and manry family.

Today, if you Google manry family, the manrymission.com blog appears on page 3 of the results. If you Google manry the blog comes up on page 7. My goal is to make it to #1! So I need your help. You can help move manrymission.com up the Google ladder by searching for manry family or manry in Google and then clicking on the link to manrymission.com in the Google results. Google tracks the link you click in the search results to help decide a page’s search ranking.
Incidentally, if you Google Mugs Manry, manrymission.com comes up as the #1 result!

Well so far you’ve moved from pg 7 to pg 6 for a Manry search
I found Manry mission when I googled Manry family but not Manry.
I had a nice chat with Margaret today. I was going to call yesterday. but considering the Bear’s performance I thought it might be best to wait a day.
We enjoy keeping up to date on the blog and continue to pray for all of you daily!
Come on mate…Aussies are an essentially lazy bunch (well, i am anyway) and you want to me delete you from my favorites and actually do a search each time i want to see what you are up to? Do you realise the extra effort that is going to take???
The things we do.
Despite Michael’s uncooperative spirit, we’ve moved up to page 5 for Manry searches. We’re still holding tight at the very top of page 3 for Manry Family.
I have noticed that there are slight differences in using google.com and google.com.au.
Dale,
I would have to agree with the Honorable Mr. Thompson, just way too much work.
Mike,
I am quite certain that you are the only person in the world who has ever referred to Mick as the Honorable Mr. Thompson.
Ah yes, but in typical aussie style, we all will from now on.
Well, while I may be lazy my son lucky for you a true blue Aussie will always find a way. Last night DJ showed me how to do an automatic search and while i slept we googled “manry family” approximately 400 times.
You’re on page one mate ….. Come on Aussie!!!
And one other thing …. i’ll have to pretend that i never read that vicious comment from Mugs.
It cut deeply Margaret, and i may never recover from the hurt you have caused to my fragile self esteem
Mike - she was right though, you are definately the first!!
Well wow Honourable Mr Thompson kudos to you (well DJ),
Well just trying to keep our international relations happy.
when i googled manry family today it was on the first page the fourth listing from the top…
when I googled manry you all were on the fourth page.
Looking at the latest stats, I see that someone visited the site after searching for “why would a copperhead snake be in my house”. If you type that phrase into Google (without the quotes), you’ll see a link to Mugs’ post, Snake in the House.
Dale,
My name is Janice Bolton, I am the oldest child of Mike Bolton.I have a question. What is it like when you go to a job site with your security. Are you scared becuase in school I am reading a book about a boy that joins the militia. The book is historicl fiction.I bet my social studies teacher will love it.
Janice, that’s a good question. I’ll write a post about job site visits tonight. Hopefully, I’ll answer your question in that post.
