Antenna Ball

Posted by Dale @ 7:25 pm Baghdad Time in Deployment

Previously, I gave you a look at my vehicle (not to be confused with Rob’s version of my vehicle). If you look closely at the antenna, you may notice that there is a small white styrofoam ball on the tip. This was placed there by the previous OIC, a US Navy Commander (equivalent to an Army LTC). The OIC’s vehicle and the Deputy OIC’s vehicle are identical Suburbans. So they used distinctive antenna balls for easy identification. The Deputy has a yellow smiley ball on his vehicle. Here is a close up of my antenna:

    Hey Dale,

Love the antenna ball, and love the blog site… believe it or not, it wasn’t blocked by our firewall ;-)

Things are going well on this end. I am still working as part of the Review team. We are well into implementation now, which is pretty exciting. The geo crew are still working hard, with lots of exciting product going out. Ha- you never guess what has finally happened - the new geo report templates have hit the streets - amazing, I know!

In other news - Spring has hit Canberra early… it was 20degrees celsius both Sat and Sun, and today is another beautiful day. The blossoms are out - such a lovely time of year.

Anywho, so glad to hear from you.
    Take care my friend,
    Ali

Thanks, Ali. I heard everyone is encroaching on Jonnine’s work area. Luckily our firewall here doesn’t block my own blog.
